Into the deep sky
cotton effluvia strewn in mackerelled abandon
stilted on God rays over sullen fields
                the remarkable
billows across
                the unremarkable
Head down squinting to cover
powdered fragments of cloud pepper the way
as heavens open to Turneresque vistas roiling
with thunder stinging hills with electric ire
slipping below the horizon from burnished eyrie
a lone gull rows
